Brain
When you drink you experience a loss of inhibition as alcohol affects the parts of your brain that controls behaviour and emotion. It also affects your judgement, memory, concentration and co-ordination as well as causing mood swings and emotional outbursts.
Alcohol also depresses nerve cells in the brain, altering and damaging their ability to respond. Large amounts of the stuff and you can stop breathing, fall into a coma and die.
Long term drinking can result in permanent brain damage, serious mental disorders and alcohol addiction.
